#000 Shattuckite

This specimen features vivid blue shattuckite from the Mesopotamia Copper Valley in Kunene, Namibia. Shattuckite is a secondary copper silicate mineral recognized for its vivid blue color and fibrous to radiating crystal aggregates. It typically forms in the oxidation zones of copper deposits and is commonly associated with chrysocolla, malachite, quartz, and other secondary copper minerals. With a Mohs hardness of 3.5–4 and a silky to vitreous luster, shattuckite is highly prized for its intense blue color and distinctive crystal habits.
